A friend of mine recently posted a link to the Duggar Family recipe for liquid laundry soap. I have heard of similar recipes over the years, but was never very interested in making it. But now that our budget is in the red each month, I decided...no time like the present. I found all the ingredient at Winco...for under 10 bucks! Such a deal. I usually pay that much (or more) for my laundry soap. The recipe make 10 gallons of soap! Plus, I still have some supplies left for my next batch. I chose to add some lavendar essential oils to my batch. Boy, my garage has never smelt better! I got my supply a while ago from Essential Wholesale, which has a lot of great natural products, including a full line of essential oils.
The recipe took me about an hour to mix and cook...and then it sits overnight to "gel" then transfer part to a clean laundry soap container and you are your way to clean, great smelling clothes at a fraction of the price of store bought. Each load costs about 2-3 cents! Woo hoo! Great for the budget. Give it a try. You won't be sorry!
